At Oceano Dive Centre, the NAUI Deep Diver course consists of two main phases:

• Theory. The academic training will help you understand the extra skills involved in this course, first at home doing an eLearning then a review in our classroom with your instructor.
• Water Skill Dive Day. You will learn all the skills required to dive safely up to 40m by completing the necessary training over a minimum of 2 open water dives

This course is to provide the diver with the knowledge and skills to plan and make deep dives while minimising risks and avoiding the need for staged decompression. Deep diving is defined as dives made between 60 and 130 feet (18 and 40 m). Upon successful completion of this course, graduates are considered competent to engage in open water diving activities without supervision, provided the diving environment, activities, areas dived, and equipment approximate those of training.

You can include an extra NITROX specialty with this course for a discounted price, ask staff how.

Prerequisites

To enrol in the NAUI Deep  Diver course you must:

• Pay the course fee in full
• Be at least 15 years-old
• Have a NAUI Advanced Open Water certification or equivalent
• Have done an open water dive in the last 3 months with one of our instructors
• Complete the eLearning before review day
• Have OR hire a full set of SCUBA equipment plus a dive computer and slate

• NAUI Deep Diver eLearning course
• NAUI app including all dive tools and logbook
• NAUI e-certification in your NAUI app

Items Not Included

We do not include dive gear (SCUBA set, mask, snorkel, boots, fins and weight belt and well fitted drysuit) as you will need these items once you are a certified diver. There is a student discount on purchasing these items when you buy from Oceano Dive Centre.

Note Regarding Certification Dives

Dive is an outdoor activity completely out of our control, if weather is not safe to dive we will reschedule your dives, we will do our best to inform ASAP at the latest within 24 hours from the scheduled dive dates.
