NAUI (National Association of Underwater Instructors) has been training divers and dive leaders since 1960. Their mission? “Dive safety through education.” That means no shortcuts, no watered-down training—just thorough, hands-on instruction that builds confident, capable divers.

Oceano Dive Centre – Refunds & Returns
Overview
We stand by the quality of our products and services. Under Australian Consumer Law, customers have guaranteed rights (known as consumer guarantees) for goods and services that are faulty, unsafe, unfit for purpose, or not as described. These rights cannot be excluded by our policy.
1. Consumer Guarantees & When Remedies Apply
If a product or course fails to meet consumer guarantees, customers are entitled to a remedy:

Major fault (unsafe, significantly different from description, not fit for purpose, or can't be easily fixed): the customer may choose a refund, replacement, or repair.

Minor fault (fixable issue): Oceano Dive Centre can offer a repair or replacement. If this isn’t possible within a reasonable time, the customer may request a refund.
2. Change-of-Mind Returns
We offer change-of-mind returns within 14 days of delivery for eligible goods purchased online or in-store, provided the item is unused, undamaged, and in original packaging.
A restocking fee of up to $25 may apply depending on item size. Delivery charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
3. Faulty or Incorrect Goods
If you receive faulty goods or the wrong item:

We will cover return shipping costs.

You can request a full refund, replacement, or repair (depending on your preference for a major fault).

Refunds will be processed within 14 business days of us receiving the returned item.
4. Process to Request a Return, Exchange, Repair or Refund

Contact us via email or in-store with your order number, details of the issue, and supporting evidence (e.g. receipts, photos).

Await our response within 2 business days to confirm eligibility and next steps.

After we approve your case, return the item with our instructions.

Once we receive the item, we’ll inspect and process your remedy—refund, exchange, or repair—within 5 business days.
5. Courses, Services & Training
If a SCUBA course or service fails to meet a consumer guarantee (e.g., not delivered as described, unsafe, poor quality):

For major issues, customers may choose a refund, replacement, or re‑booking.

For minor issues, we may offer to repeat the service or course where appropriate.

If you cancel due to illness, a valid doctor’s note is required, otherwise a $150 rebooking fee may apply.
6. Time Limits & Obligations

Essential consumer guarantees do not expire after a set date—they apply as long as the product or service is supposed to last a reasonable time.

However, goodwill or change-of-mind refund offers may be limited to 14 days and require proof of purchase.
7. Exceptions & Additional Information

We are not obliged to provide refunds for change-of-mind, or if the item has been used, damaged (without a fault), or missing original packaging.

We cannot refuse remedies if a product is faulty, even on sale or clearance items. Consumer guarantees always apply.

Misleading claims about refund eligibility or time limits may risk non‑compliance with ACL.
