At Oceano Dive Centre, the Advanced Open Water SCUBA Diver course consists of two main phases:

  • Theory. The academic training will help you understand the extra skills involved in this course, first at home doing an e-learning then a review in our classroom with your instructor.
  • Open Water Dives. You complete your certification by doing a minimum of 6 specialty training open water dives, in a variety of environments and underwater activities. You will complete the following specialties:

A. Navigation (compass and natural)
B. Shipwreck survey (use of cables)
C. Night Dive
D. Fresh water (Lake dive)
E. Deep Dive (certifiable to 40m)
F. Search and recovery (use of lift bag)

During your advanced training you will learn how to dive safely in a variety of environments like lakes, night dive, shipwrecks and deep dives. We will show you how to properly navigate by compass and natural means and show you how to do search and recovery using a lift bag.

You can include an extra NITROX specialty with this course for a discounted price, ask staff how.
